Stunning location

Enjoy a leisurely stroll around Ambleside village and visit the famous Bridge House over Stock Ghyll or Hayes Garden World. Walk the Lakeland hills and fells, take a trip on Lake Windermere, or sit back and enjoy village life.

Take the open-top bus to Keswick, or down to Bowness-on-Windermere and on to Kendal. Why not stay and sit on our decking and soak up the sun (if we get any!).

For drivers, the sometimes near-vertical Kirkstone Pass taking you from Ambleside towards Lake Ullswater is a must when touring this picture-book countryside.
